We are still here! By the grace of God we survived the biggest challenge that our beloved institution has ever faced — COVID-19! Almost the same time last year, the pandemic first swept the country and jolted us with its tremendous effects, and hospitals were placed at the forefront of the fight against the virus. Our world was turned upside down and MTCMC was not spared: we had to face our fear of the infection in order to serve those who got it; we had to quickly reorganize our processes and structures to ensure we have a safe hospital; we had to recover our lost revenues by introducing new services and doing cost recovery programs; we had to manage our cash flow by coming up with new priorities; and we had to make sacrifices as members of the Calcutta team in order for our manpower costs to be rationalized and more efficiencies to develop.
All of these actions by our team enabled us to be here today, celebrating a 15-year milestone of touching lives with expert care. I would like to thank all of you for making this happen. I think that our 2020 experience made us stronger than ever and I firmly believe that there are no challenges anymore that we can’t face and successfully hurdle. Here’s to the next 15 years and beyond!

Mother Teresa of Calcutta Medical Center has successfully implemented and maintained the established ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and ISO 14001: 2015 Environmental Management System and therefore is recommended for the continued use of the issued certificates. This award is given in recognition of an institution’s commitment in sustaining health in the community through consistently upholding standards in social and environmental practices. It is also within the City Health Office’s objective to encourage local hospitals attain a level of excellence and responsibility in their operations.
